Island

Island is a short story in the epistolary tradition. Looking back on it, I realise that writing Island granted me the confidence to try my hand at a full-length English novel.

Island concerns the sudden, inexplicable appearance of a small island, which throws into disarray the lives of all who live nearby. When the island vanishes, taking with it the scientists who investigated its nature, one bereaved husband attempts to understand a world that seems intent on forgetting the whole event. Island represents the complete and definitive rendition of his notes.
